I Lost 25 lbs Crossdressing: Part Two

by Jessica De Leon on May 29, 2009

Check out part one of this series here.

During those weeks of searching for my much needed motivation for kick-starting my fitness plan, I noticed something. Whenever that prospect of dressing up came up, I just didn’t feel like it. Was this just a low in the ebb and flow of crossdressing feelings, or was there something more to it?

One thought that started popping into my head was, “I’ll dress up and go shopping when I lose weight?”. Hold on, what? BINGO. This was it, the drive that I needed, and had been lacking for so long. Yes, others in my life commented that I should lose weight, and yes, during a physical my doctor told me that I was a bit overweight.

In spite of these suggestions, I wasn’t going about changing my exercise habits. All of a sudden, though, I decided that in order to feel better about myself in women’s clothing, I would literally start running to accomplish my goal. Of course, along the way I did change my eating habits, but mainly through exercise I was able to begin to shed my extra poundage.

Given this new inspiration, I began to feel better about myself overall, and dressed up head to toe (including facial and body shave) for the first time in about four years! During that hiatus, I had partially dressed and wasn’t really having fun with it. In other words, I was crossdressing just to get by, if that makes any sense.

Over the next few months, I continued working out and dressing up as Jessica. Other benefits of my weight loss included literally every family member or friend noticing my fitness achievements. I started looking better in both guy and girl modes, and gained more energy each day.

The End…?

Well, I did fall back into some bad habits and although I had lost 25 pounds in 7 months, over the last two I have gained a small portion of it back. Today, I decided that I would renew my endeavors and blog about it while doing so, hoping to entertain but also inspire others to follow my lead.

I notice a lot of crossdressers mentioning their weight as a big factor in choosing not to dress or feeling bad about themselves. I don’t want to clutter up my main Jessica Who? blog with this fitness data, so I started a new blog called Jessica Who Gets Fit, and you can check it out here.

Hopefully, I can reach my optimum weight and fitness level, and maintain it for years to come.

IMO there’s something very cool about shaping up. You feel better in yourself and exercise itself seems easier to do.

25 lbs? You’ve just about lost the equivalent of an A list celeb :-)

Yea, I know that when I was really in the midst of working out six times a week, running just go so easy for me. Running five miles was like nothing to me, I guess that’s a big reason I lost that A-list celeb, lol :)

I found the cutiest summer halter top dress. When I put it on my belly would poke out so I decided to loose some weight so I could wear this one knockout dress. In one month I lost 23 pounds. I couldnt believe the result. I exercised and watched my diet and I just felt empowered to do the job.The dress fit fabulous and I felt fabulous wearing it. Ive tried to get motivated like that again but havnt found the mental combination to unlock my ambition to renew my body to that state of trimness. Dressing does bring out a certain motivation that is hard to discribe to others. Leslee

Yes, when all my other motivation to lose weight fails, I try to think how a pudgy gut would look terrible on a girl.

I have found that wearing a “Tightlace” corset helped me loose weight. By putting on and lacing up before breakfast,Wearing the corset at least till bedtime. I could not eat much without the corset feeling uncomfortable.
After doing this for several months I lost weight. One disadvantage was that I needed to buy a smaller sized corset because I lot so much weight about 6 ponds a month for about 3 months. Though if I stopped wearing the corset for a period I soon put some weight on again So to loose weight this way I have had to wear the corset every day My waist line too is 5 inches smaller. Wearing the corset now and then does not reduce my weight nor does my waistline get smaller. So again the corset has to be worn very day. The weight loss does not occr wearing a girdle because it stretches too much

Joanna;

I had a similar experience with spending a full day in a corset a few years ago. Even the day after. My abdomen was a bit sore, like I had overdone it at the gym. I wasn’t sure what it was about until I remembered the corset from the previous day. I didn’t feel like overfeeding myself.
