I, like many other crossdressers, have really, really big and wide feet. Most of my life I’ve had a tough enough time finding male shoes in my size, let alone finding women’s shoes. Up until 2004, I thought that I would never be able to fit these big feet into a pair of heels, but then I actually found a pair in my size on eBay, and that’s all I had until recently.
A few months ago I downloaded the shoe sizer from Payless Shoes’ website and measured my feet again, only to find out that I could fit into a women’s 13. I was thrilled because, while not extremely common, size thirteens are not super difficult to find on the web.
After finding the correct size, I decided to order about five pairs of shoes from Zappos, mostly on the basis of wanting to try them out and being able to return them for free. Turned out that every shoe fit perfectly. Unfortunately, I decided to return them all because I didn’t really have the extra money to spend on shoes.
Two weeks ago, I found a sale at payless.com and decided to order two pairs of shoes. I will follow up this post with a review of each of these shoes.
So, have any of you found good places to get large size women’s shoes? If so, please share them with me, I’d love to know.

I buy most of my shoes at Payless, but beware, their sizes are inconsistent. I own shoes from Payless in sizes 11, 11W, and 12 that all fit perfectly, but I have tried on other Payless shoes in those same sizes that are either too small or too big.
Would you mind sharing what size you typically wear in men’s shoes? All of my guy shoes are size 13, though I can sometimes squeeze into a snug 12.

I found a great website http://www.barefoottess.com/ It was set up by a woman who had size 11 feet and was tired of not finding fashionable foot wear in her size. Her motto is “Because style doesn’t stop at size 10.”
I wear size womens size 13 and a men’s size 11 1/2 to 12 Her site has over 200 different shoes in size 13. She has sizes up to 15. I was so happy to find it – i got tired of the same small collection of heels only on transgender websites. I found a nice pair of booties that go great with most things I wear every day.

I am blessed that I only take a size 8 in wing tips, so in pumps I can wear anything from a 9 1/2 wide to a regular 10. Payless is good for me, as well as the Box Stores (Marts, both K and Wal).
