Jessica’s Top 3 Ways to be a CD Sports Fan

by Jessica De Leon on May 12, 2009

In my post A Crossdressing Sports Fan! Holy Cow!, I discussed that in addition to loving women’s clothing, I am a huge sports fan. I play, discuss, watch and obsess over sports. I am not afraid to be myself and do the things that I love, and this is no exception.

Due to this seemingly glaring contradiction, and my tendency to exploit the lighter side of things, I have come up with a list of how to become a crossdressing sports fan. Take is as you may, but I guarantee that you too can do it if you follow my three simple tips.

3. Appreciate women’s efforts in breaking into sports

I’m not going to sit here and discuss the history of women in sports, but there are a couple of things that I do know offhand. One of them is that women as referees, announcers and sports reporters were once unheard of. We are fortunate enough to have all three nowadays. Also, females on male sports teams should be commended as well as the amateurs and pros in baseball, basketball, and even football.

As an aside, Linda Cohn is one of my favorite sportscasters, male or female. She is very knowledgeable about the sports world and has earned respect for that.

2. Never ever again call a player a fag, homo, sissy, or queer.

These are offensive words to begin with, and keep in mind that athleticism is completely independent of gender and sexuality. Hey, look at Dennis Rodman, one of my all-time favorite players (and not because he crossdresses!). He is one of the most prolific rebounders to ever play basketball and he also dabbles in ladies fashion.

I was at a Cubs game the other day, and someone in the crowd yelled out “homo” to disparage an opposing player, and I felt sad because there were probably gay people in the crowd who were hurt by that expletive.

1. Outfits and accesories!

As I’ve said, more women sports fans means companies have to make apparel designed for them. We benefit by having the wonderful opportunity to not only dress like women, but support our teams at the same time. Of course, I’m sure we are nowhere near to being able to dress in said clothes and head off to the stadium, but how fun that would be!

See, not so difficult? How many of you crossdressers out there love sports as much as me? Let’s show the world that there can be a great internal balance of masculinity and femininity. As always, comments are welcomed and appreciated. Now play ball!
