When it comes to crossdressing, most are constantly looking to improve. Sure, there are masters in our midst, but the rest of us always want that latest tip or just general advice. I have compiled a list of fifteen steps to becoming the best crossdresser that you can be.
9. Tell Someone
Sharing your secret with someone else can do many things for you. While even I’ll admit that saying those words “I’m a crossdresser” or some variation thereof can be quite intimidating, there are several potential benefits. It can be very therapeutic and validating, which will benefit your overall self-confidence in being a crossdresser.
Now, this doesn’t mean that you absolutely have to tell your mom, best friend, or anyone else very close to you. Maybe you can share it with a counselor or perhaps you have a long distance friend that doesn’t know any of your family.

Always keep in mind that there are drawbacks and possible backlash associated with telling someone who ends up not accepting you. I certainly have been blessed in that everyone that I’ve told has been sweet, kind and caring, however, we may not all be so lucky.
If all else fails and you feel that you have nobody to tell, shoot me or Rebecca and email and tell us. That still counts as telling someone.
8. Read a Book on Crossdressing
Fortunately for us, we are definitely not alone in this world. There are many in our community who have written books about these matters. By reading stories similar to of your own, you will instantly feel better about yourself.
There are books that provide tips, tricks, advice, perspective, and even some brutally honest opinions about crossdressing. Take advantage of these books through your local library or bookstore. I can attest to their immeasurable value in my personal development.

Most of you probably already have a book that mentions crossdressing, just check your dictionary and look it up, lol.
7. Take your femme persona online
Now, I’ve written about my struggles with my identity and how I no longer consider Jessica as a separate persona, but that doesn’t mean that she has no personality or qualities. In keeping my life neat and organized as well as to protect my privacy, I have taken huge leaps in taking Jessica De Leon online.
There are many ways to do this, here’s a list to start with:

The key to this is to use your female name and explore the internet under that moniker. I’ve even signed up at several sites that I frequent as Jessica, like a video game blog and a horror movie blog – both of which I read every day.
