So I’ve now shared my story about my trip to the 2009 Be-All Conference (in case you missed it you can read about it here). Thank you all for the support and caring words, they really have a profound positive impact on me.
Here’s a quick and fun little follow up to that series of posts, just a running mental list that I kept during that weekend. As the old saying goes “there is a first time for everything” and as I accomplished each of these feats I felt that I was growing as a person.
Without further adieu, here is a “cliff’s notes” version of all the firsts that I went through during this special weekend.
- First time venturing around in public (hotel)
- First time stepping outdoors
- First drive in drag
- First time dressing up for two consecutive days
- First crossdresser friends
- First time introducing myself and being introduced as Jessica
- First dance as Jessica (with my wife)
- First time dressed for more than a few hours (14 hours)
As you can see, many of these things would ordinarily be very trivial (driving, dancing, and even walking), but as we all know doing anything while dressed can be daunting. I sincerely hope that I will now be able to use these firsts as stepping stones in my life. Once again, thanks for reading.
