After careful research and consideration, I decided to move Jessica Who? from Blogger to Self-Hosted WordPress. A couple of weeks ago, I moved from a blogspot address to my own domain, but I found that blogger was still too restrictive for my long term blogging goals, therefore I set out to migrate over to wordpress.
In order to carry this out and not lose search engine hits, I had to take extra precautions. Additionally, there was a problem with my domain settings, so for much of Thursday, visitors were receiving a 404 Error upon trying to access my blog, sorry about that.
So, what does this move mean for my readers?
First, I will be able to have many more customization options. Second, all those who were following my blog using google friend connect will unfortunately need to follow again. Third, please update any previous links to my blog that use jessicaquien.blogspot.com.
Over the next few days, you may see that the blog changes slightly, however I have done my absolute best in trying to preserve my posts, comments, pictures and links. If you see something that is out of place or causing an error, if you could just please send me an email detailing the problem and I will get right on it.
Now, back to the most important part of Jessica Who? — the content!

Wow – I love the new look of the website, Jessica!!
Very slick!
I started out on Blogger as well, but I only lasted a single post before it’s limitations and sloooooooowness annoyed me to host my blog elsewhere.
Judging by the look of your site now, you’re swimming in the freedom of nearly unlimited personal choice rather than the limited cookie-cutter options Blogger offers. Nothing against Blogger or its users – it’s a powerful platform for what it is, but many people do find it limiting.
Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks, Gabi!
I really appreciate your feedback, thanks for taking the time to visit, I know you’re pretty busy with your own superb blogging activities. Yea, at first I chose blogger for the simplicity it offered, but the more I posted, the more I felt compelled to take my blog to the next level.
It took a while to carefully move the delicate piece that is my blog, I didn’t want to break old links and I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose comments and posts.
I also had to change my cname in my domain, that is why we were on the fritz most of Thursday, and to think that customer service couldn’t even help me, I had to figure it out for myself. Go figure.
Well, that was a bit off topic, wasn’t it? Haha.
