I’m lucky… NO WIG! I have long hair down to the middle of my back.

As for the makeup tips… Even here in the Pacific NW, it still gets hot enough to melt the best of the babes!

Powders instead of creams. Make sure you moisturize your face well.

Again, I am one of the lucky ones… I can wear anything, but I do keep it modest. One piece in public areas, bikini at home!

This global warming appears to be curbing my style during the summer months. Not only do I like the cooler weather for dressing up but I also like the styles better. Shirts, sweaters, pant suits etc. One has a hard time thinking what to wear next. Boots, strappy sandals, heels, has the weather changed yet?

Summertime + wig = “Help me, I’m melting!”

I prefer Autumn as a rule…. or late Spring. The Fall is cooler, obviously, and I prefer the fashions for that time. I think they are more trans friendly – heeled boots, opaque tights and the run up to the Christmas party means a wealth of lovely new clothes!

Hi Jessica

Great blog and so very comprehensive, it contains all the reasons I think of why we girls don’t like to be out in the summer, but a few of us I think do try to get out there when we can. Of course summer in the UK is not quite like Florida heat!!

I guess what I do like in the summer are the light flimsy skirts and no need of coats and it is lovely to walk along the beach when there is a sea breeze. My tips would be to wear a little less make-up though I take on board your points above and to wear your shortest, lightest wig, preferably without a wig cap.

But I think you are right. It is more comfortable and it is easier to draw less attention to ourselves in the Autumn/Winter months when it is cooler, the nights draw in and we can get our boots, coats and scarves on!! Brr!!

I’m a Florida girl. I have no choice. But I’ve found that good primer before putting on my makeup is key, and regular hits of loose powder to keep the shine down really helps as well.

I do find that I tend to shun my much loved hosiery though, and I definitely stick with looser, more flowy clothes.
