Tools Needed
- 2 shades of your favorite eye shadow
- A shadow blender brush (or your favorite eyeshadow brush)
- Eyeliner (optional)
- Mascara
Details
The natural look is an easy and simple technique that can be accomplished in a few minutes or less. The look requires two colors, a lighter shade and a darker one; you can use any colors that you like.
Colors in the same family work great, like the browns we are using today. However, complimentary colors are also a lot of fun. Try a green (darker – 2) and brown (lighter – 1) look.
I use and love Mac eye shadows as they are versatile and highly pigmented — a little goes a long way, therefore they last longer. They also come in many different shades and textures.
The colors that we are using in this tutorial (natural look) are “All That Glitters”, which is a beige with gold pearl (veluxe pearl) and “Shroom”.

“All That Glitters”
“Shroom”
“All That Glitters” is the darker color and “Shroom” is the lighter. Usually the lighter color is applied first, all over the entire eyelid and brow. Then, the darker color is applied just on the lids.
Instructions
Step 1 – Load your brush with the lighter color, using light to medium pressure
Step 2 – Blow or tap off excess powder off of brush
Step 3 – Using your brush, sweep the lighter color over eyelid, crease and brow
Step 4 – Next take the brush and apply the darker shade just on lids keeping it within your natural eye crease
Step 5 – Be sure to take the brush and blend where the two shades meet to avoid a harsh contrast
Step 6 – Finish off eyeliner (optional) and mascara. You can use mascara alone for an even more natural look.

Things To Keep In Mind
Always prep your skin before applying makeup. Never use concealer on the lids of your eyes as this will only cause the eye shadow to run or move as the day progresses.
