On the first article, I think that it is a rather good thing to make it protocol for those who desire SRS to have mental checks. If they truly want it, a few checks shouldn’t be a barrier at all.

The second one interests me as I have always admired the idea of a strong female fighter, especially one trained in the martial arts. I remember how Chun Li from Street Fighter (CAPCOM) has always been an inspiration for a beautiful, dangerous girl. It was so cute how she’d always jump up and down in glee after totally kicking ass. Her special skill and feature were her extremely muscular legs! Those are definitely man legs, which makes you wonder if she’s a drag queen in reality.

The third article reminds me of what my Thai friend said, she mentioned that according to their faith, those who commit suicide cannot reincarnate because they have not “lived” out the full term of their life. So if they were meant to die at 70, but committed suicide at 30, they would be doomed to wander the earth as a spirit for 40 more. Ja Ae looks amaaaazing! I am so jealous, the thai CD and transsexuals have always been such outstanding beauties.

I personally know a person who went to Tailand and had SRS. She did not go thru the process of living as a female as now required.
She rushed into it full steam in her 40′s. After returning home as a female in less than 18 mo. had decided she had made a mistake. She then had surgery to remove the breast implants and is now presenting as a man.

I think the time is needed to know for sure that SRS is the right thing to do. If the person I know had gone thru this process they would proably not have had the surgery

First article, Thailand straightens up:
As a transsexual I can tell you that this news will surely sadden a lot of people who wanted the ‘quick fix’ or for other reasons could/would not go through the normal process. The wait can be excruciating and in certain countries can last for many years. Thailand offered a way to avoid that. If you are a 100% sure TS this can be a difficult and even painful time.

I myself decided to do it the normal way and yes, the wait is hard at times but I want to do it safe and with proper supervision for as long as I need it. That is not to say the people in Thailand are careless, far from it, Dr. Suporn is even here (The Netherlands) regarded as the lead when it comes to sexual reassignment surgery, but the lack of checkups and the willingness to accept anyone regardless of status was potentially dangerous or even life harming. I am glad they finally imposed some rules, as hard this may be for some of us.

Second article, Gender, defend thyself!
Confidence is what a lot of TGs lack, or need to increase. If only to get the courage to step outside, or to be more passable. Anything that helps this is good. Self defense will make us feel more secure and therefor more willing to take ‘risks’.

Third article, GG or TG, does it matter?
All I can say is that the girl looks 100% passable and believable. Cannot imagine her as any other gender. She looks great and from what I can understand the movie is amusing as well.
