having recently watched the movie Year One, I think the character played by Oliver Platt pretty much sums up genderfuck to the extreme…if you’ve seen it, you know what I’m talking about and probably had nightmares about it like I did.

In general I dislike the term “fuck” alone or as part of another word. To me it indicates penis to vagina intercourse but lately it has become much more inclusive. I don’t like it.

Genderfuck presentation seems to make some transgender people as anxious as it does the cisgendered; only there it’s more like some fear of weirdness-by-association: “Why can’t you be a NORMAL cross dresser? With your bald head & make up, that cocktail dress and those combat boots you’re gonna get us both in trouble, so stop that!”

Genderfuck doesn’t thrill me, I don’t really understand it (and yet for some reason I seem to get where “furries” who want to be part human and part some other species are coming from…); but I figure it’s their business not mine, and they wouldn’t do it if they didn’t feel a need that’s as valid as my needs, and anyway it’s kind of cool that theres such a diversity of gender expression, and when we can all be ourselves…
