NBC has a new cop drama coming this fall, excitedly titled “Chase”. While watching “Last Comic Standing” Monday night, I spotted this advertisement for the new series starring Kelli Giddish.
Something immediately stood out to me, and you’ll spot it too once you watch the video, which I have posted after the jump. NBC inadvertently created a possibly TG-themed advertisement.
NBC making a Transgender Commercial?
As you can see, the spot consists of Giddish and an unnamed criminal split in half and merged together, saying pretty much the exact same thing so that it flows as one smooth monologue.
Obviously, they are two separate people, but to me and others who think like me, this can represent an internal struggle or celebration as we balance or try to overcome the male / female dichotomy that exists inside of us.
Just a quick little tidbit, I think the commercial was well made and while obviously not intended to be TG-themed, I enjoyed it just the same.
