While some people know Zach Galifinakis from his quirky stand-up act, most people today recognize him from his roles in blockbuster films such as The Hangover, Due Date and The Hangover Part II. Galifinakis is the type of comedian who is so rooted in character and being himself despite what else is “popular” and its part of the reason that I’m such a big fan of his.
That’s why I was so confused as to how in the world I missed the fact that he appeared in November 2010′s issue of Vanity Fair in a swimsuit photoshoot! He appeared on Late Night With Conan O’Brien the other night and this is how I found out about the pictures, which I have shared below.

I absolutely love the look of confidence in his eyes, you can see how sure of himself he is.
How lucky Zach was to have a private shoot for a swimsuit calendar. How many of us would kill for that opportunity?
Now, I know part of this is for comedy, but I can’t help but find a lesson in here. Look at how Zach carries himself with such confidence, despite not having the body for that bathing suit. In a full beard, no wig and body as hair as a Yeti he poses with the swagger of a runway model.
If he can feel so good about himself (or simply feign it) then we should all be able to muster up the same amount of courageous confidence. Something to think about

The confidence he showed is great in those pictures. When it comes to any photo shoot they take tons of photos just to get the best ones. The swimsuit that he is in looks alright on him.
