NBC’s Community is one of the best shows on television, though it struggles in the ratings department. In its third season, things are really getting good and hopefully it will remain in production beyond that.
Dean Pelton is the eccentric administrator played by Jim Rash, who is now a show regular. He is quirky, closeted and he frequently crossdresses. Check out a montage after the jump.

I hear ya, Jess, and yes, I’ve also gotten to appreaciate the Dean’s increasingly frequent forays into the world of crossdressing.
He also did a wicked Lady Gaga impersonation a couple of seasons ago for one of their Halloween specials – too bad that wasn’t included here as well.
Still, it annoys me that the show’s creators and producers not-so-subtlely insist on portraying him as a swishy and closeted gay character – that just reinforces the old stereotypes of automatically associating crossdressing with homosexuality…
