Shoes. Ah, where to begin. As the old saying goes, shoes make the … uh, nevermind.
My size 12 feet severely limit my footwear options, and it definitely hurts when I’m shopping with my wife and I spot all sorts of heels, wedges, and even flats that I’d love to try on! I had considered custom shoes for a while, but didn’t really find anything that would work for me until I found out about Shoes of Prey.
The way I found out about them was from a video review from YouTuber Michelle Phan. I decided to visit their website and was amazed to find out that they make women’s shoes up to size 15! That’s bigger than even me! I contacted them, let them know about my situation (male, big & wide feet) and they were very responsive and helpful.
My wife has this pair of nude high heels that I absolutely love because they look amazing and they pretty much go with anything, so that’s what I wanted to order for my first pair.
The first three pairs weren’t quite the right fit, but luckily they have a very good return policy, and all my shipping fees to send the shoes back were reimbursed. When I finally got my proper size, I was ecstatic. I love these shoes so much and they have already been worn (my speech at Northwestern and photoshoot in Chicago). The heels are four and a half inches, so yea, after walking around in them for a bit it can get a little uncomfortable, but the shoes themselves are very well-made and feel good on my feet.
Shoes of Prey really treats you like a priority. They e-mail you when your shoes are ready, send you a picture of them, and go the extra mile when packaging them.
They are transfriendly which also makes a huge difference for me, that is why I decided to be upfront with them about who I was. I am so happy that a place like this exists and though the prices are a bit steep, I believe that the shoes are worth it.

So true, it’s hard to find a pair of heels, boots, or sandals for men. In style and color that you like and enjoy. Women can go to your local stores and find what she likes. I would love to do that myself. But We all know that’s impossible. I can hope. 90 percent of the time you can make mistakes. On the size or color. It’s ashmed mail order is fine, but I think it lackes. I personal touch.
I have about 14 pairs of sexy heels- pumps, booties, and tall boots with 4-5 inch high heels, all designer. Nordstroms have MANY size 12 and 13 DESIGNER (yes…designer) shoes and boots. Expensive, yes…very. But their clearance rack is unbelieveable. I get a kick out of walking around the store in 5 inch Vince Camuto Nude platform peep toe heels ($59 down from $200). Also try Nine West…they have up to size 12; just got a great pair of brown suede pumps with a 4.5 inch heel. Most women cannot walk in very high heels, so I get really strange looks at times. Payless also sells size 12 and 13 standard- very trendy especially designer Christian Soriano and a brand they carry call Brash.
