There is a nonstop war waging inside me. It is the neverending battle against my body hair and I’m sad to say that I’ve mostly been on the losing end. My arsenal has included, at one point or another, razors, clippers, tweezers, epilators, waxes, depilatory creams, lasers, and much more. However, the enemy has an infinite supply of growth on its side.
I strike critical blows, but the hair eventually comes back. It’s certainly a resilient foe, but one that must be worn down with relentless attacks.
My body hair has always been a thorn in my side. Literally, as my hairs can be quick thorny. Since I was a teenager, I hated it because it makes me look old, dirty, and sloppy. It actually has nothing to do with my gender identity. I just really, really hate my body hair.
And it’s not just on me. I cringe whenever I see really hairy dudes. It seems so gross. Now, I’m not judging, that’s just my opinion on it. Body hair traps dirt, grease, and weird smells. Removing it from your body allows for cleanliness, moisturizing , and smooth feels.
I’m lucky in that my wife is no fan of body hair either. I’m also lucky that I don’t grow it on my back or chest. But my arms, hands, feet, legs, nipples, buttocks and belly make me look like a Chewbacca stunt double.
Until the day I die I will be waging this war. Never surrendering, never showing mercy. It may carry my DNA, but it does not carry my spirit!!

I just really sternly tell it to leave. Doesn’t always work but risk of razor burn is low.
i just keep up with a razor every day or two. its worth it for the smooth feeling afterwords, i find that JoJoba oil (hohoba) is a nice aftershave to keep iritation down.
thanks for the giggle it was a nice read

I’ve just started this war. I have shaved my legs before but only my calves. Last week I shave my entire body aside from my arms and head. I came out with much avail (no razor burns aside from the nether region.) My biggest problem was how long it took! I feel sorry for ones who shave all the time. It was so time consuming. Hopefully it’ll get better with time.
My problem is my other half is less than tolerant about my crossdressing so shaving is subtle. My dad started to lose leg hair years ago and I’m telling her I’m having the same thing happen to me, so I’m shaving (razor) up to mid thigh and I’ve always cleaned up underarms. I wish I could take care of all of it.
I remove hair from my legs, bikini area, chest, and armpits. I used to use a razor, but found it to be very time consuming, irritating and painful.
I switched over to an epilator about three months ago. I love it! The first few times you use it can be painful and time consuming – especially if you’re going through an area that you’ve never removed hair from. Once you establish a baseline, the hair doesn’t grow back as fast and it doesn’t hurt. In fact the little sting you get is good, since you know you just ripped out a hair! I spend maybe 10-15 minutes every few days to touch up. I find that it’s not as smooth as a razor, but since my hair is light colored and you can’t see it as it grows, I don’t mind.
Epilators run $40-$100+. It seems expensive, but compared to the cost of razors, waxing, etc. they’re really a good investment. Mine is a lower end model, which I’ll upgrade eventually. I’d recommend one that is corded and cordless. Some are one or the other, I like mine because I can use it both ways.
I am very fortunate. My hair is either blond or white and sparse. When I do clean it up, I use a razor. I am also using electrolysis on my face, but it stops there.
My favorite is Nair for body hair. I not only love the way it removes my hair but also how soft my skin is after using it. For my face I used to pluck it but my wife passed away this past November and I am still grieving and I am too nervous to pluck. So now I use a razor on my face.
Use to use a razor on legs but found that stubble became uncomfortable after about 48 hours. This necessitated more frequent shaving than I wanted to spend time doing. I had heard of epilators but the idea of pulling all those hairs out hurt just thinking about it. Eventually I gave in and tried it. Yes, it hurt at first but after the initial work was done I found that it doesn’t hurt any more. I can spend as little as 10~15 minutes every other day to keep a clean appearance for both legs and arms. What I would like to know is has anyone tried the product called the No-No hair removal device, and if so can it be used for beard removal?
